Thomas O’Toole graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland in 1982. In 1986, he graduated from the Catholic University School of Law. Later that year, he joined the New York firm of Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon’s in the corporate department. As a corporate associate, he participated in various sophisticated corporate transactions, including structured and project financings. He obtained substantial experience in drafting contracts and other documents involving corporate financial transactions. In 1989, he joined the Baltimore firm of Venable, Baetjer and Howard in the business/tax department, where he continued to represent clients in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Since forming his own firm in 1993, Mr. O’Toole has continued to represent clients in various corporate and business transactions while expanding his practice to include litigation. Mr. O’Toole has successfully represented corporate and individual clients at trial, judge and jury, and on appeals at the State and Federal level. He and his partner, Neal C. Baroody, have obtained substantial recoveries for their business and individual clients.
